Dad in the Army ... (but retired from the Navy 
...) This is a photo of a picture actually used for recruiting poster. We don't have the poster .... I guess no one thought to save in back then. Wish we did.
Dad is the soldier holding the lighter. Taken late 1940's after W.W.II in which my father served in the Navy. After serving in the Navy (Seabees) during WWII he did a 4 year stint in the Army...to return later to the Navy and retire after 28 years of service as a Seabee.
